VANCOUVER – The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, will participate in a sledge hockey skills competition on the site of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. The competition will be hosted by the Canadian Forces Soldier On Program, which aims to empower ill and injured military personnel through sport.
Minister Of National Defence Visits Cf Members In Haiti
OTTAWA – The Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence, will visit the troops in Haiti this weekend, to oversee progress being made following the disastrous earthquake that struck that nation in January. The Minister will speak with Canadian Forces personnel on board HMCS Athabaskan, in medical facilities, temporary accommodation camps and the Canadian Embassy.
